About the Plugin

Internal links help readers find more of your content and help search engines understand how your posts relate to each other. But adding them by hand means remembering everything you’ve ever written. Most sites end up with too few links, and with older posts that nothing links to at all.

We built Postlinkly to do the remembering for you.

What it does

Open any post, and Postlinkly suggests other posts on your site worth linking to. It points to the exact words in your sentence that would make a good link, and lets you add the links you want with a click, one at a time or several at once.

Nothing is added without your approval, and Postlinkly never rewrites your content. The link text always comes from the words you already wrote.

Beyond suggestions, it gives you a clear picture of your site’s linking:

  • Orphaned posts: published posts that nothing else links to, ready for you to fix.
  • Broken internal links: links pointing at posts that were deleted, unpublished or made private, with the reason shown.
  • Link Report: inbound and outbound link counts for every post, exportable as CSV.
  • Link Profile column: link counts right in your Posts list.

Built around the tools you already use

If you use Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or Squirrly SEO, Postlinkly reads the focus keyword you’ve already set on each post and uses it to find better link opportunities. There’s nothing to set up.

It works in both the block editor and the Classic Editor, and understands word forms (“link”, “links”, “linking”) in 14 languages.

Careful by design

We made a few deliberate choices so Postlinkly is safe to run on real sites:

  • Private. No account, no subscription, and no outside connections. Everything runs inside your own WordPress site.
  • Safe insertion. Links go only where the words stand as whole words: never inside another word, a heading or an existing link.
  • Your dates stay put. Adding links doesn’t change a post’s “last modified” date, so sitemaps and feeds don’t treat old posts as new.
  • No lost work. If you have unsaved changes, Postlinkly asks you to save first rather than overwriting them.

Status

Postlinkly is free on WordPress.org, first released in September 2026 and updated regularly since.

Postlinkly Pro, an optional add-on with AI-assisted link ranking, AI-chosen link text, auto-link rules and a URL changer, is coming soon. The free plugin stays complete on its own. Pro only adds.
